Dr. Knut Kühn-Leitz is the great-grandson of the company founder of the Optical Works Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar and has been intensively concerned with the history of this company for over a decade - today Leica Camera AG and Leica Microsystems GmbH. Among other things, he published books on Ernst Leitz I and his grandfather Ernst Leitz II, the pioneer of the world-famous Leica.
