Holger Sà

*1968, Germany

The german/italian photographer Holger Sà came to photography by a lucky coincidence. In his former home town of Rio de Janeiro, he got the chance to jump in for a photographer in a film production. He took the opportunity and after that he began to photograph for magazines. The main focus was on the Brazilian carnival in all its facets and colors.

After 12 years he came back to Europe and became an important part of the fashion photography. His clients include famous designers and brands such as Chanel, Sonia Rykiel & Vivienne Westwood and many more.

As a portrait photographer he photographs well-known personalities (photographers, designers, actors, musicians, artists) such as Julien Fournié, David LaChapelle, Vincent Peters, Udo Lindenberg, Keanu Reeves and Nathalie Portman in black and white.

His approach is that of empathy. For him, the focus is on the human being. His photography reveals the personality and emotions of the people.
