Elliott Erwitt and Thomas Hoepker appreciate their passion for photography. To this day, she has a close friendship. However varied their photographic career and their positions may be, many parallels can nevertheless be found. Her photographs are a dialogue in this exhibition: once it is the thematic approach, another time the humoristic analogy of the pictures, which stimulates to smile.
Elliott Erwitt is a master of street photography who, like no other, understands how to capture harmonically composed scenes that are so bizarre.
Thomas Hoepker mastered documentary moments with his camera that are equally valuable: they are authentic testimonies of contemporary history and stand for an aesthetic image consciousness, which burns itself permanently into the memory of the viewer.
Every single picture in the exhibition tells its own story. In pairings and the overall picture, they form a unique photograph of two friends who share their personal experiences with the world.
