Torsten A. Hoffmann

The Leica Galerie Frankfurt is showing the first-ever exhibition “People and Space” by the award-winning photographer Torsten Andreas Hoffmann. The focus is on images that document a link between people, nature and urban space. Hoffmann captures people in their urban and rural living space in a fascinating and creative composition. Whether it is the integration in visual mirror formations or the simple but well-thought-out street scene, the human being is the focus of his observations. He takes photos at socially critical locations and integrates a portion of humor in other images.

Hoffmann has an exceptionally trained eye for design, which he expresses in his natural and architectural pairings. The individual motifs look like surreal objects, the visual parallels of which are astonishing. His series Janusblicke also takes up the natural and human space and deals with the front and rear views of the seashore and other cliched subjects.
