Alan Schaller "Metropolis"

Street scenes seeming extraordinarily constructed but still taken out of the daily life, people who are woven into a graphic, almost surrealist image composition.

Moments like these are part of the ongoing series by the London photographer and Leica Ambassador Alan Schaller.

The Leica Gallery Frankfurt presents the exhibition Metropolis, an extensive and diverse work with pic-tures of people moving in a world of impressive light and shadow scenes. The human being, particularly his interaction with his surroundings, are the focus of Schaller. His photographs seem like a unity, sha-ped by mood and atmosphere.

Despite of the turbulent urban jungle, the viewer is conveyed a sense of loneliness, thoughtful and introspective, even reassuring.
