Travelling is not just moving in time and space, it is also the discovering of the “other” that can be something different and new compared to our own world. In this context Photography becomes a medium to deal with these encounters. It is a way to create a contact and a dialogue with the new reality and is an expressive language to tell the stories of the people we meet.
During the talk the photographer Fulvio Bugani will not just show some of his photographic projects about Cuba, Indonesia and Georgia, he will also present his unusual testimony about his own person: his passion for travelling, the exceptional ties with the people he met, the difficulties of photographing the lives of others.
The projects he made on his trips earned him important international awards: the World Press Photo in 2015 and the Leica Oskar Barnack 2016.
