Emanuele Scorcelletti

*December 27, 1964, Luxemburg

Born in Luxembourg in 1964, Emanuele Scorcelletti, with Italian roots, lives in Paris today.

At the age of 6, he got his first camera by his mother and discovered his passion for photography. He studied at the National Institute of Photography and Cinematography in Brussels.

Between 1989 and 2009 he had a contract with the agency "Gamma" in Paris and still works as a freelance photojournalist (press, fashion and advertising scene).

In 2003, he won the World Press Photo Award in the category "Arts and Culture" with a unique image by Sharon Stone, recorded in Cannes, which, surrounded by numerous photographers, plays in front of the cameras playfully and skilfully.

His models also include actors like Emma Watson, Penélope Cruz, Charlize Theron and Jack Nicholson.

Emanuele Scorcelletti had a special connection to the recently deceased fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. He was one of the few who had the honor to photograph him in his studio. The result is very private and well-composed shots of the great designer, which have rarity character.
