We are happy to welcome the photographer Patrick Ludolph at the Leica Store Wetzlar. The photographer will give a talk on June 25, 2019 and on June 26, 2019. The lectures are free of charge.

June 25, 2019: Manche Fehler muss man selber machen

A lecture, matching his book "Manche Fehler muss man selber machen". Often you look at photos and ask yourself, "How did he do that?". Behind some pictures there is a lot of effort, others in turn arise more casually and by a good deal of luck. Patrick Ludolph made many mistakes on his photographic path, as he says but he learned from it.
His new book consists of two parts. First, Patrick Ludolph talks about his basic philosophy, his approach to photographing people. The second part is a collection of his personal favorite pictures. He writes about each picture, how he created it, how the recording parameters were, which light he used and, above all, about the story behind. Some pictures have a longer history, others none. It's all about light and image design, but also about creativity and how to deal with people in front of the camera. Ludolph wants to give a personal view of things. It shouldn't be a guide, but a food for thought and an encouragement.
June 26, 2019: Cuba - Behind the scenes

The third edition of his hashtag magazine dedicates Patrick Ludolph to Cuba. He crossed the suburbs of Havana, experienced the home of local families, drank rum on the street from plastic cups and got a taste of real Cuba. His travel took him from Havana via Vinales, Cienfuegos and Santa Clara to Trinidad. He lived in private Casa Particulares, where the simplicity of the accommodations was more than offset by the warmth of the people.
In this talk Patrick Ludolph will talk about his experiences in Cuba and give insights behind the scenes.
Patrick Ludolph has been running one of Germany's most popular photography blogs since 2006. Since 2012 he is also successful with his photography tutorials on Youtube. Ludolph covers topics such as Streetphotography, Photoshop, Flash Handling, Lightroom, Available Light Photography, Portrait Photography, Posing & Panoramic Photography. In addition other photographers, graphic artists and models can also be seen as guests in his videos, giving the viewer tips for the perfect photo.
In addition to photographic fundamentals, it also covers new areas that go beyond photography. From the right posing in front of the camera, through the use of a flash up to editing images, Patrick Ludolph presents vivid teaching content.
