The lecture will be held in german and is free of charge. The duration is estimated at a maximum of 60 minutes.

Norbert Rosing has been taking photographs since the 1970s while deepening his knowledge about photography through learning by doing. At the beginning of the 1980s the first publications followed. Towards the end of the 1980s he began with his lifetime project "In the Realm of the Polar Bears", which is continued to the present day and out of which several magazine articles and photo books resulted.

Backyard photography became another big photographic focus of him. He has been travelling through Germany for over 30 years and document and take photos of permanence (large-scale protected areas) and change (energy revolution) in the German landscapes and what remains of them.

Out of the focus on Germany the publication of several photo books resulted, one of them the bestseller “Wildes Deutschland” [Wild Germany]. Thus far five images from this series were utilised as motifs for postage stamps.
