Lecture by Hans-Günter Kisselbach "Barnacks erste Leica"

January 18, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Hans-Günter Kisselbach came across a very special prototype in his father Theo Kisselbach's Leica collection: the hand sample by Oskar Barnack. Hans-Günter Kisselbach was curious to find out what the first Leica was capable of and wanted to test it in practical use.

What requirements has it grown and where are the limits that have only been overcome by further development?

These questions began a four-year involvement with this sensational find, the camera, which was the first step in a new era of photography.

Hans-Günter Kisselbach tells the story of this camera, describes it in detail, shows the photos that were taken in the years 2003 to 2007.

The lecture takes place at the Leica Store Wetzlar and is free of charge.
