Lecture by Florian Wagner

January 15, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

360-degree images from very high up show Africa in a new dimension. You can see the vastness of the country, the relationship of its inhabitants to the water and the beauty of the country at a glance. The extraordinary landscape format does justice to the panoramic pictures and underlines the importance of water for the continent.

African Waters is an art project for which Leica photographer Florian Wagner has traveled 10 South African countries in a helicopter to take exceptional aerial photographs of waters that are important for the ecological balance. The project aims to document the beauty of Africa, to create awareness for the responsible use of our most important source of life in addition to endangered wild animals.

One mission, 10 countries, 18,500 kilometers: Spectacular images from the helicopter show how the African continent is shaped by water.
