Lecture by Dr. Carsten Ott - Urban Landscape

March 28, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The genre of classical architectural photography deals with the artistic-documentary depiction of buildings. It traditionally uses the central perspective. Early on, Carsten Ott broke away from this classic perspective and worked with new, unusual perspectives. Shown are pictures from the metropolises of Europe, as well as from the cities "around the corner". And of course, the photographic development of the Leitz Park. Immerse yourself in the fascinating urban worlds - in expressive impressions from different perspectives and perspectives. Captured with the variety of Leica systems and their legendary lenses.

DR. CARSTEN OTT

Born in 1970 in Mainz, discovered his passion for photography in the mid-eighties. He made his first photographic experiences with his father's LEICA M2. This was the basis for his fascinating occupation with "the" LEICA. She shaped his view from the beginning and led him to "focus on the essentials". In more than 30 years of intense engagement with the medium of photography, he has focused on landscape photography and urban worlds. These themes also characterize his photographic projects and travels. With this spectrum of experience he competently supports the team of the Leica Academy.

The lecture will take place at the Leica Store Wetzlar and is free of charge.
