Art Collection Leica Gallery Frankfurt

July 13, 2019 - August 17, 2019

For the past 15 years, the Leica Gallery Frankfurt has regularly presented exclusive exhibitions of internationally and nationally renowned photographers. Master, like Elliott Erwitt, Thomas Hoepker, Werner Bischof, Walter Vogel, and Ulrich Mack have captured contemporary history with their oeuvre and left a trail for themselves. These are the traces of the large collection that the Leica Gallery Frankfurt has built up over the years.

For the coming weeks, the archive opens its doors and shows a diverse collection of impressive photographs, including the iconic image of the snowy Meiji Temple in Tokyo, by Werner Bischof, recordings of boxing legend Muhammad Ali by Magnum photographer Thomas Hoepker or the image of John F. Kennedy during his visit in Berlin, photographed by photographer Ulrich Mack. In addition to these famous pictures, lesser-known, but no less impressive and high-quality photographs will be shown in the exhibition. The cross genre selection shows among other the architectural comparison of Frankfurt and New York by photographer Torsten Andreas Hoffmann and the predominantly London-based company by Kurt Hutton.

Be inspired and immerse yourself in a world told in pictures.
