Holger Sà met Fredi Bobic in a gallery in Berlin some time ago - both talked extensively about photography.
Fredi Bobic, himself an avid art lover and connoisseur, liked the photographs of Holger Sà, which he made for famous fashion brands in Paris and London. The portraits of Vincent Peters and Udo Lindenberg, created at the Leica Gallery Frankfurt, inspired Bobic.
As a chairman of the traditional club Eintracht Frankfurt, Bobic connected Holger Sà and the club. He wanted to bring the sober and interchangeable press photography on a more emotional level and represent emotions that arise during a game day in an artistically valuable manner.
Together, they developed the idea of a photo project about Eintracht Frankfurt with the aim of moving from everyday sports press photography to an artistically demanding sports photography.
Holger Sà wants to create images that are drawn with light - in the style of the great masters.
And which partner would be better than Leica camera, which was already the tool of old masters. The Leica camera has been regarded as an icon of photography cameras for more than 100 years. Holger Sà is a longtime friend of Leica Camera Frankfurt. Through this relationship, Holger Sà has also been part of exclusive events where he photographed and staged personalities. His shots are evidence of emotionality and character. The high quality of his work is the reason for the cooperation and the support by the Leica Gallery Frankfurt.
The result of the cooperation between Eintracht Frankfurt, Holger Sà and the Leica Galerie Frankfurt is summarized in a unique picture show which sparkles with emotions.
